IAM international art moves is a project founded 2008 by Martin and Anne Müller.
IAM international art moves is a international Art Academie Network. IAM is cooperating with Art Academies world wide and has the main aim to give art students a real life experience by creating an intercultural exhibition project in the context of a professional exhibition space. The IAM network focuses on sustainable relations with the institutions and personalities involved. On this base a vivid international network developed which impulses activities beyond the core IAM project. Important elements of IAM are intercultural and culture polititcal reflections which express in Arts, in curating but also in additional cooperations like with the ifa-Institute for foreign Affairs and the particular Embassies.
The activities of IAM international art moves consist of two main parts:
The workshop: The IAM workshops are realized at the Art Academies. The students from all media develop their own exhibition. Thit means not only the artistic part but also the curatorial, financial, communicational, intercultural and group work aspects. The IAM workshop prepares the students for the exhibition realization in Germany.
The exhibition: The IAM exhibition is realized at a real art space in Germany by a group of students. The venue for the IAM exhibitions is the famous „Kunstquartier Bethanien“ in Berlin located in the center and melting pot of Berlin Kreuzberg. Additionally IAM presents group exhibitions at the „OSTRALE – International Exhibition for contemporary Arts“
